Our band name, TBO, (Taking Back October) was born out of a shared love for music and a desire to relive the magic of our youth. During a practice session, we penned one of our original songs, Take Me Back, inspired by the timeless spirit of the 80s. The name of our band reflects our journey—playing music that brings us and our audience back to a simpler, sweeter time, taking back the October of our life. With decades of musical experience, exceptional vocal talent, and a deep connection to our roots, we’ve come together to create something truly special. Lead Vocals
Amy has been singing for nearly 30 years. With her impressive vocal range, stage presence and musical knowledge, she helps elevate the bands sound. She's been playing bass for about 20 years, and has a great ear, adding depth and harmony to each performance.
Dusty
Bass, Vocals
With over 40 years of musical experience, Dusty brings versatility and depth to the band as a multi-instrumentalist. Primarily supporting the band as a bassist, and with rich backing vocals, he does some lead singing also. The ability to switch between instruments gives the band unique opportunities to create diverse and dynamic performances.
Troy
Lead Guitar
Troy is a dedicated guitarist who pours his passion into his craft daily. Playing guitar since his teens, he's performed with multiple bands over the years. Troys playing brings audiences back to thier glory days, creating a cohesive sound that is a highlight of every show.
ZWay
Drums
LaDonna (Z-Way) began drumming as a teenager, honing her skills in marching band and various groups. She and Dusty have been playing together for 20+ years, creating a seamless musical bond. As the heartbeat of each song, Z-Way blends classic comfort with her own unique flair, making every performance memorable.
Vonda
Keys
Vonda is new to the music scene, but her keytar playing helps set the mood for the bands performances. In addition to her musical contributions, she assists the band with photos, and merch sales, adding her energy both on and off the stage.
